| EXPERIENCE Hasbrouck Engineering has more than 25 years experience in the Aroma Chemical Industry. This experience includes operations, process assistance, troubleshooting, and design of Aroma Chemical operations. The production of flavor and fragrance products uses unique techniques and disciplines compared to general chemical products production. Preserving the required purity and avoiding malodorous conditions is critical in Aroma Chemical production. In the design of your systems you need process chemists and engineers experienced in the production and sales of esoteric olfactory essence. | |
![]() | Distillation is a critical operation through out the process of producing aroma grade products. As a result Hasbrouck Engineering has worked with many different column configurations and internals. These include continuous, batch, and reactor-column systems using bubble cap and valve trays, random packing including Raschig rings, Pall rings, and Burl saddles, structure wire gauze and sheet metal packing. |
| Hasbrouck Engineering has debottlenecked columns by revamping reboiler and condenser systems, replacing trays with packing, and improving control systems. During troublingshooting distillation columns, Hasbrouck Engineering has identified and corrected problems ranging from the simple, valve in the wrong position, to the complex requiring replacement and redesign of column internals or improperly packed beds. | |
| In addition to distillation Hasbrouck Engineering has had wide experience with chemical reactors through operation, design, and revamp. This includes batch and continuous reactors with the following types of reactions: hydrogenation, oxidation, hydrochlorination, esterification, saponification, hydrolysis, pyrolysis, isomerization, and condensation type resin reactions such as polyaminde, polyester, and acid-base. As part of these systems, Hasbrouck Engineering has become proficient and experienced with other unit operations. These included pumps, heat exchanger, vacuum systems, batch and continuous filters, spray dryers, hot oil heaters, electrical heaters, oil-water separators, clairifiers, steam and condensate systems, fume systems, and VOC oxidation equipment. Because of this broad exposure, Hasbrouck Engineering has contributed to AIChE Equipment Testing Procedures for Centrifugal Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Particle Size Classifiers, and Spray Dryers.
SERVICES Based on our extensive experience, Hasbrouck Engineering can provide general consulting service, troubling-shooting, process design, equipment and piping specifications, process control, project management and technology transfer for the following.
